Bylaw 205-SCHOLASTIC ELIGIBILITY
A. Initial Scholastic Eligibility In order to be eligible, any student entering from the 8th grade into a CIF four-year high school, a junior high or a junior high under the provisions of Bylaw 303, must have achieved an un-weighted 2.0 grade point average, on a 4.0 scale, in enrolled courses at the conclusion of the previous grading period.
Under teams, you can contact coaches---ONLY after your son/daughter has been enrolled at WHS (that includes incoming 9th graders and transfers to WHS). That official date is June 1st. Until then, they are instructed to refer you to either the principal or AD.
NOTICE OF ATHLETIC TRANSFER RULES TRANSFERRING SCHOOLS MAY AFFECT YOUR ATHLETIC ELIGIBILITY
Transferring from one school to another school may affect a student’s athletic eligibility under NCS or CIF rules. It is your responsibility to see the school principal for a copy of the eligibility rules, or information where eligibility rules may be viewed. Students who transfer as a result of disciplinary action are subject to the conditions of Bylaw 209 and may be ineligible for one calendar year from enrollment in your new school. All eligibility transfer information/applications must be true, correct, accurate, complete and/or not false or fraudulent. Go to www.cifncs.org for further information. Click on “Eligibility Transfer Information”.
